Though sadly, I may need to have a 'yard sale' due to taking a job overseas, since I can't find work here.

MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – Governor Walker will sign a bill legalizing concealed carry into law next week in Rothschild.

The signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 2:50 p.m. at the Grand Lodge. The event is not open to the public.

The bill allows residents to carry a concealed weapon in Wisconsin. But they must first get a permit and undergo training. The bill bans guns in police stations, jails, courthouses and government buildings.

Before lawmakers passed the bill last month, Wisconsin was one of only two states where concealed carry was still illegal.

that stinks

I mean, I'm glad he's finally signing it, don't get me wrong about that,
but to do it someplace not open to the public???
I think they should get an arena & have hundreds of supporters attend.

And the article incorrectly says that carry is banned in gov't buildings.
Only if they're posted, which I expect most will be. :(

I think the anti Walker tools would make a spectacle of themselves.

I am seeing how we can be invited. So far no answer.

Would continue to make?
Would make a worse spectacle than usual?
And what's going to stop them from picketing/protesting at the entrance? :cuss:
I've got an idea - anyone showing a gun gets in.
Anyone who doesn't is kept out unless Walker speaks for them.
No anti would be caught dead w/ a gun, & none of us would do anything bad there.

(Of course, we'd have to stop at the gate, step out of the car, open the case, close the case, get back in the car, & proceed to the building.)
It'd never happen, but isn't it a nice idea?
