I got the same forwarded message from Jolene at Grothman's office.
Do you think he will line item veto the words permits and training
Sounds ridiculous, but somebody better check to see if the Grand Lodge in Wausau is posted....Oc event idea has been tossed around... Sounds like a good time. Oc at the signing?
MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) – Governor Walker will sign a bill legalizing concealed carry into law next week in Rothschild.
The signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 2:50 p.m. at the Grand Lodge. The event is not open to the public.
The bill allows residents to carry a concealed weapon in Wisconsin. But they must first get a permit and undergo training. The bill bans guns in police stations, jails, courthouses and government buildings.
Before lawmakers passed the bill last month, Wisconsin was one of only two states where concealed carry was still illegal.
I mean, I'm glad he's finally signing it, don't get me wrong about that,
but to do it someplace not open to the public???
I think they should get an arena & have hundreds of supporters attend.
And the article incorrectly says that carry is banned in gov't buildings.
Only if they're posted, which I expect most will be.
Would continue to make?paul said:I think the anti Walker tools would make a spectacle of themselves.
And what's going to stop them from picketing/protesting at the entrance? :cuss:
