Boulder City, which you drive through on the way to Las Vegas, forbids carry - including in your vehicle. North Las Vegas has similar restrictions.
Even though I have a Nevada CCW permit, I can't remember all the rules. I recommend checking
Nevada law for details.
NRA-ILA has state information on their website.
Here's a link from Alan Korwin's website that may help.
You might also want to query the Nevada OCDO forum.
Regarding concealed carry on the strip - Most (if not all) casinos prohibit firearms. However, if I recall correctly, it's a trespassing issue. The downside, being Vegas, if you are caught, no telling what will happen (tumble down stairs, hand caught in door, etc.) before you are asked to leave.
For places that serve alcohol, it's also a trespassing issue, unlike Arizona.
You may have the "right" to carry in Nevada, but it's unlikely that you can exercise that right where you will need it the most.
