if someone came to your house to assault u, came into your house be it open the door and walked in or came in when u opened it to say please sir go away nicely :uhoh: would u be in the clear if it came down to shooting them, since you would not know for sure if they are armed or not, their in your house, and since you have a gun on in your house a assault IE becoming a fist fight in your home be life threatening since your carrying and they may gain control of your weapon

You have no duty to retreat in your home (or anyone else for that matter). If someone is in your house w/ criminal intent, you can defend yourself whether they are armed or not.
