Does anyone OC in the Fort Collins area? If so, what has been your response. Also, I was wondering if anyone is interested in a meet up here or in Loveland.

I have OCed in Loveland a bit and a couple time up in FC. No significant responses anywhere except for the Loveland Jax Outdoor Gear where O was asked to leave my gun in my car due to their No Firearms policy.

I'd certainly be up for a meetup but wouldn't be very available until the second weekend of August or later.

I often carried in Ft. Collins and Greeley and never had any problems.

Although there are a few shops in the Old Town Square of Ft. Collins that have signs up saying no firearms allowed.

But those types of hippie shops are the ones I dont spend my money in anyhow.

The little towns of Ault, Eaton and Nunn along rt. 85 are also OC friendly.

I wouldn't sweat it.

My first time OCing in the area was late at night about half an hour before Subway was going to close. I was grabbing a sandwich before driving out of town. I walked in OCing my XD9 in my Serpa holster which I wear cross-draw. Two deputies and a Loveland officer were sitting in the Subway and immediately looked up as I walked in. There is no possible way that they didn't notice my sidearm as I was wearing light colored blue jeans and a yellow shirt and the holster/gun are black and they were seated on my holster side. I nodded to them, they nodded back, and one of them kept an eye on me for about the first 20 seconds I was at the counter. After that they went back to eating, I ordered, and that was that. We exchanged nods again as I left and not a word was spoken. Exactly as it should be.

If you get the chance you DEFINITELY should stop and eat at Gravity 1020, the restaurant of Fort Collins Brewery. My wife and I ate there about a month ago and it was the tastiest lunch we've had in a long time.

Meanwhile, back at the topic...

Howdy Amigo!
So.... are we gonna plan on a meet up, or what?

If you haven't OC'd yet, then I would strongly encourage you to give it a whirl!
You don't need to be apprehensive about it, just go ahead and do it.
Might you have an encounter with an LEO? Sure. But you are not doing anything illegal.
So just do it.

Until you do, you'll imagine much worse than you're likely to ever encounter.
The only way to break that barrier is to get to it.

And I'd be more than happy to escort you on your first OC experience.
Spend a day running around town with me, and you'll soon see that it really isn't that big a deal.
After you've done it awhile, you'll look back on this and wonder what all the fuss was about.

Blessings,
M-Taliesin
