    Notification Issue in Ohio...

Ohio, like Michigan, has a "must notify" provision in their law. This story takes place there but I don't believe it is out of the realm of possibility happening here at some point also...

Giving up our liberties for safety is the one sure way to let the violent among us win.

"Though defensive violence will always be a 'sad necessity' in the eyes of men of principle, it would be still more unfortunate if wrongdoers should dominate just men." -Saint Augustine

Sounds pretty ridiculous. I want to hear the audio. Good luck to the guy.

As mentioned...this is a perfect argument for eliminating the stupid Notification Laws.

If that scumbag is not arrested and charged with assault or making terroristic threats it will show that we have devolved into a society with 2 set of rules, 1 for the ordinary citizens and 1 for the police. Any normal citizen on tape making those threats would face charges, and the officer better too. I hope this video goes national.

I too look forward to the video some day in the future.
Call for a cop, call for an ambulance, and call for a pizza. See who shows up first.

This is one of the reasons I choose to avoid Ohio whenever possible as it is worse than MI when it comes to infringing on rights!

    Ohio sucks. Period.
"No state shall convert a liberty to a privilege, license it, and charge a fee therefor.- Murdock vs Pennsylvania 319 US 105

...If the state converts a right into a privelege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right... with impunity.

What I don't understand with things like this...

Why not "anonymously" leak the video online somewhere.. There are ways to do these things without being able to be traced back to anyone..

At any rate. Things like this need to be in the open IMO. Looking forward to seeing it after the case is over.

Now Now I go 2 plus times a year down to the south part and open carry on my goldwing motorcycle and have never been stopped or bothered in any way my the jack booted thugs, & or the good offficers, maybe i have been lucky.
Oh i go thru dayton and xenia on the way down...

Oh by the way i will be going to cleave land in august, which i understand the local coppers are bothering many of the local law abiding tax payers.

So if i have problems, will you all promise to bail me out ?
If not i will call in my favor :-)

    +1

I had an accident in Ohio. I notified the State Patrolman and he was very grateful with no issue at all.

Looks to me like the dude was trying to pick up a hooker...

Not sayin what the cop did was right... but dumb-dumb shouldn't have put himself in that situation.

Wrong, but not as wrong as I thought it was going to be...

that video is chilling. loud mouth cops can't even shut their mouths long enough to let the guy notify. i hope both of them lose their badges. i can't believe that cop said all that knowing he was being recorded. that's amazing. he admitted that he was willing to execute someone in cold blood and also that he admitted he would pull the guy over and tow his car without PC.

i agree with HKcarrier. it do think the guy was trying to pick up a hooker.

i also think the cops should both be fired. he deserves a felony for that.

Detroit, MI to Canton, OH is 3.5 hour drive. When (if) there is a picnic we need to get as many people car pooled down their as possible from OCDO MI, MOC, and MGO! To show our support. I may not like Ohio as a whole (rivalry BS), but I LOVE AMERICA! This can NOT stand!
