I have to work that weekend & Deros, GogoDawgs are tied up on Saturday 7/30 with another event. I can get the table set up on Friday so it's ready for the weekend but I need folks on hand for Sat/Sun.

Any volunteers? If I know who by Thursday night, I can get you added to the vendor list on Friday so you can get in early and bypass the line.

never been to the gun show. We can't carry in there? according to the website..

As long as you are a member, you can carry but it has to be unloaded and the action zip tied.

** before the bashing begins, its a private organization. Not one gun show across the state allows loaded firearms.

Working on the wife....... making progress.

Cool, I'm working on my wife too. Probably 2 or 3 times...

never been to the gun show. We can't carry in there? according to the website..

I went to one WAC show, paid money to get in afterthey made me take my firearm back to my car. Then they wanted more money if I wanted to by a firearm or use my inalienable rights. I didnt want to California carry as I know that would suck to be a californian.

sorry too late... Pay money to render your firearm useless? Maybe we should write a letter for a corporate policy. If a store would do this we would put them on a do not patronize list. So if businesses that dont allow carry tell you "If you pay an extra fee you, unload and tie you slide back you can carry, that would be ok with everyone?

That's right -- it's for the safety of the... um... CHILDREN!

They dont profile, it's for the safety of EVERYONE...

I, for one, do not let the WAC policy bother me. After having been a member for 20+ years, I have seen enough unsafe gun handling by the visitors AND members, that I would not want them having a loaded firearm while near me, my family or friends, and of course the children.
Simple solution......as stated before MANY TIMES......If you don't like it DON'T PARTICIPATE.
There are ways around the rule, concealed means concealed. If you are found to be packing a hot gun, what are they going to do? Kick you out. Will you be trespassed? I doubt it. Maybe some of you are just too paranoid for your own good. You talk about personal rights and safety, yet at the same time you want to deny those very things to a PRIVATE organization. A bit two faced if you ask me, which you did not.
Once again, if you don't agree, DON'T PARTICIPATE, you will not be missed.
Now, I think I will have another glass of Kool Aid.

If you are found to be carrying a loaded weapon you will most likely have your membership revoked if you're a member. If not a member, you'll be escorted out.

There is alot of unsafe gun handling practices among the general public from people who have been giving CPL's but eveyone will jump on the bandwagon against more required training, and permits.

Don't forget that they are leasing the fairgrounds for the weekend. Do you really think that the fair would not specify in their contract that no loaded weapons would be allowed except for paid security and law enforcement? Who knows what the policy will be once they get their own space finished. The board will decide.

You remind me of what I saw this past Sat when leaving the Monroe show. I was dumbfounded, and ready to duck. My wife and I just left the building and were nearing the ticket booth, approaching was a guy (member, had his badge on) with pistol in hand and unloading. It’s normal right? I don’t think so, this guy held his gun chest level pointing down range to the left while he dumped the mag, and emptied a round out of the chamber.
I didn’t tell my wife we just cheated death, because the final destination movies get to her. I also felt bad on the way home as I thought about it; as a member I should have said something to him (but I suppose I was a bit preoccupied getting the hell away from him), or reported Mr. walking death. Don’t they have clearing barrel/traps/stations at the entrance?

Seriously guys??? No responses?? C'mon, step up. Unless you guys are all talk...

Be a part of educating people in a fun atmosphere.

This organazation is no different than many others that I have been involved with, about 5% of the members (if that) do everything without them not much if anything at all would get done. Most are all talk my guess is that some of the most opinionated dont even OC unless its at a meet. Seriously you are wasting your time SpyderTattoo. Remember this if the stuff ever hits the fan most will run and hide, most will not be there for you, most will not risk their freedom, most will wear their chains willingly, sad but true.

I cannot speak for WAC, but I would expect to see the same policy re carry.
