I do believe that the association of Psychiatrists and Psychologists are on the verge of declaring it a mental disease or defect, as well they ought.

@OP it depends on what you mean by "Liberals". Do you mean Obama and his gang, often called Liberals or do you mean "classical Liberals" (Libertarians)?

Clearly the article is directed at Obama and his zealots.

"Classical Liberals" are a gang I can agree with for the most part.

I am no liberal (under today's model). However, I still find the implication that they are mentally ill to be disgusting (as in it generates a feeling of disgust in me). It is the irrational tactic of the anti-Liberty crowd to imply some mental defect in those with whom they disagree. It is a shame when one of us descends into that gutter.

Winston Churchill said, “If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.” Liberalism is uninformed caring. Conservatism is informed caring. It develops over time. In my case, I outgrew liberalism (socialism, even) at just about twenty. We should not despise nor insult liberals. We should simply bombard them with reality so that they can practicalize their empathy.

The story did come from Pravda. I suppose you're not much of a Michael Savage fan then either. The "irrational tactic" of the left works. It's unfortunate, but it's true. More people seem to continue to work with the impression of Sarah Palin as an idiot thanks to SNL, than they did with the Katie Couric cross examination that no one watched. Ridicule works especially when it's even remotely based on reality, but it also works even if it's based on lies. You're free to bombard these people with reality. I'm glad to help when I can. I'm also happy to marginalize them using their own tactics. It's only wrong IMO when the ridicule is based on lies, as it certainly was in regards to Palin.

Furthmore insanity is illustrated by the actions of people who keep trying the same thing over and over (marxism) while expecting a different result. Since it is a fact that liberals promote the same failed "progressive" policies that have not only failed but led to the creation of murderous regimes, it is my oppinion that such tactics are not unethical. Since failure to stop these people could very well lead to yet another regime based on a murderous cult of personality.

My liberalism ended when I took the time to study the facts myself. Having someone "bombard" me with them was annoying. Since I don't care to be ridiculed, ( no one does) I looked up the facts myself in order to counter the ridicule. I found out I deserved it.

BTW, I've looked up that Churchill quote. There is no proof that he said it as far as I've read.

I agree they should! However, the libs would then scream for an increase in taxes to cover their federally-funded treatment...

I see their issue as a combination of idealism and ignorance, and don't underestimate the latter. There are plenty of pilots in the Air Force who believe a lightly-loaded aircraft will glide further than a heavily-laden one. The truth is counter-intuitive, but the correct answer is that given two identical aircraft except for weight, the heavier one will glide further, and that's why distance-competition gliders carry water ballast in their wings.

Unfortunately, while gliding competitions produce immediate and tangible results towards which the judges and spectators can point and say, "See there? Told 'ya," politics includes far too many variables. Feedback is almost never objective until a country is kaput.
