Carry on Church property

My wife's side of the family is having a family reunion Saturday on the grounds of a Church in Monroe. Her Uncle has permission to carry at the Church but are the grounds treated as a parking lot and excluded from no carry ?
Want to carry but I dont have permission

No the grounds are restricted.(MCL 28.425o and MCL 750.234d) Legally you can carry open there with a CPL without getting permission first. However if a representative of a church asks you to leave, you must comply. A simple solution may be to email the church explaining your upcoming visit and ask for permission to carry on the property. If the say yes you will have it documented in an email.
