Anyone available to attend this meet and greet? It is free and at a "friendly" location too.

There will be a debate, tomorrow, between Dick Black, Bob FitzSimmons & John Stirrup

08/10/2011 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Hosted by the 10th Congressional District GOP Committee.
Location: Rust Library
380 Old Waterford Rd. NW, Leesburg, Va.
This event is FREE.

A video or at least an audio recording would be lovely. :D

Library info is here:

This http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...Dick-Black-is-running-for-the-Virginia-Senate is one of the reasons folks should, if at all possible, be attending the session.

One of the candidates has some baggage that seems is not being dealt with. There is concern that the candidate has additional baggage that is also not being addressed.

Perhaps those issues might make the candidate less desirable until the baggage is dealt with.

stay safe.

One of the candidates has the endorsement of VCDL-PAC. Does that matter to you?

I sincerely hope that was a rhetorical question if it was addressed to me. But just in case it was not, let me assure you that I have communicated my concerns about the candidate to VCDL-PAC and asked them to consider whether or not they should withdraw their endorsement.

I have not bothered to look at the VCDL candidate questionnaire responses as I do not vote in that district. I do care that VCDL-PAC may be handing out endorsements based solely on the candidate's response to the questionnaire when there is reason to believe they are aware of other issues regarding the candidate that may make an endorsement less than appropriate. That's why grassroots is such a powerful thing.

stay safe.

VCDL-PAC has spoken. They will not reconsider their endorsement. As far as I'm concerned the issue is now closed.

stay safe.

OC at Voting Precincts

I can never get this blasted search engine to work, so I cannot locate my thread from Nov 2010 regarding OC at polling places.

So, this thread seemed like a good place to resurface the issue.

When last discussed, the State Board of Elections had acknowledged that their previous rules were at odds with the law and had agreed to revise those written rules for precinct leaders regarding firearms.

Has that revision been completed?

Here are 1/2 dozen threads on that subject from Nov. 2010.

When I click the link, I get this:

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

... which is what I get for any search I attempt. I searched on "GUN" and got the same thing. Has to be me.

Used "Advanced Search" function, Search Single Function Type - entered "polling places OC. Went to page #2 of results for Nov. 2010 dates. This is some of what I found:

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/s...ing-on-election-day.&highlight=polling+places

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?82658-I-was-number-2-to-vote!&highlight=polling+places

http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showthread.php?82628-Open-Carry-Voting&highlight=polling+places

You can also advance search "voting OC" and get similar to this:
