Perish the thought. I mean he's done such a bang up job so far. But get ready for the riots in major cities like L.A., Philadelphia, Chicago when he loses because it will be claimed that the system stole it from him because he is black. (Even though his grandmother was a "typical white woman.) :)

And all the while they will know he was given the mound, and refused to leave the dugout, and, Bush will be blamed for Obama's failure to take that mound.

You think an avatar of a Cal-Look VW Truck (type 2) looks like a "hippie van"?

Have you seen many hippie vans?

Also, it is not an indicator of any sort politically.

YAHTZEE! President Barack Hussein Obama not taking the mound has pissed the left off. I am fuming just typing this. That being said, the Republicans have an opening, and they can either take the Bachmann route (tea party), or they can take the Paul route, and hopefully vote him in, then hope he takes the mound.

Everybody knows that VW's are hippie vans.

I digress. You are right, your van says nothing about your political affiliation.

Let me dispel your cute little myth...I live in a trailer, yes, in a trailer park - no thing prestigious about it, and I think I have -12 (negative) bucks in my account right now. Go figure, the poverty stricken life of a college student.

Back to your response.

Most all Liberals that I know are poor, and middle class. You can't have it both ways, are Liberals a bunch of poor system grubbing lazy-a$$es, or are they a bunch of elitist richies living in gated communities? Get your story straight.

What are you talking about?
The story was about some rich folks in Chicago, not about a poor college student in a trailer. You missed it completely, wait a minute, no you didn’t, you pulled a liberal on me; tried to change the facts, story, and somehow you’ve just become a victim. Nice try. Good imitative, poor judgment. You get an “F” in dirty tactics.

I don't care where the rich live, they should have the piss taxed out of them. Typical right-winger acting as if some rich left-winger they know, or have heard of is any different than a rich right-winger.

I am no victim, just a poor college student who looks to the day where the rich have the living piss taxed out of them.

I wonder, if you would feel the same way, if someday you yourself became rich.

Actually, it looks like a hippie van after they installed a sun deck (which they dreamt up in a THC haze), but prior to the inevitable (LSD-inspired) paint job.

If I became rich, say, I made 1 million dollars a year, I should have the piss taxed out of me. No person needs a tax break when they make 1 million plus a year. Tax rates for the rich should be at a minimum the same as an individual who makes 80k a year (for example). In addition, the rich should be taxed for all moneys made, not just so-called moneys that they decide to deem payroll, while leaving the rest to some untaxable, or less taxable state. Money is money, and should be treated as such, no matter where they put it, or what they call it.

The rich have had their tax breaks extended by President Barack Hussein Obama, tell me, where are the jobs? Where are all of these jobs that Republicans claim would come from the rich being taxed less? Someone answers that burning question without a bunch of political rhetoric BS I will buy you a ten dollar cigar.

I should add that most individuals on here are at best middle class...at least the individuals which I have met at BBQ's, and such. Why individuals would vote against their economic well-being eludes me...why individuals would support the rich paying half the taxes you pay, hell, even less than half the taxes you pay, eludes me. But to each his/her own. You support a system that coddles the rich, then go for it. I will continue supporting the piss being taxed out of the rich.

This thread has brought the following chart to mind. Not directing it to anyone in particular, just thought it fit the thread. :)

Its not really going to matter how you tax the people. There is always going to be a group of people bitching and moaning about whichever system isn't fair because this, that, and the other thing.

What I do know, is that its certainly not as simple as "tax the rich people moar!".

It took you this long to quote me in your signature? I have been stating my views regarding the rich for, well, as long as I have been a member on this page. I will let you think you have somehow 'found me out'.

um.. what?

Edit : Maybe I should clarify.. Your "I am no victim" comment that I found amusing.

I agree, you can't please everyone. 10% across the board tax on all forms of income, there will be little complaints. I support such a flat tax - put that in your little signature, if you dare. As an alternative, tax the living piss out of the rich...you choose.

And I would not find such a flat tax fair at all.

I will refrain from putting that in my signature as it does not amuse me, however thanks for the offer. :)
