Remember the case of Maryanne Godboldo? The mom accused of shooting at cops as her juvenile daughter was taken away from mom by Child Protective Services because mom refused to give her psychoactive drugs because mom observed that the drugs were having a detrimental effect on the girl?

A judge cleared her at her preliminary hearing! What a story, too.

"Judge Giles quashed the removal order--and said everything that stemmed from it--the police kicking in Godboldo's door and the ensuing standoff were null and void."

This kind of thing is that the 2nd is for. She did right in protecting her daughter. It's up to the parents to raise a child and not the state.
