Sometimes 'supporters' can do the most damage...

The constant bickering from 'pro' 2A people over rights they don't practice or understand is helping to fuel the anti-gun fires. We need to remember that these kinds of people are doing more harm to our rights than the anti rights activists like the VPC, CSGV and Bradys. The anti rights groups have largely been discredited and defunded because of a growing lack of support of their silly ideas. But now we have people who are working against our rights from 'the inside'. The people use the snazzy words and terms that uneducated people want to believe and support.

It is not ok to say you are pro rights but then list the rights that you do not include. Either you are for people having freedom and not allowing the government to make its own rules, or you are not. There is no middle ground. It is not ok to declare OC to be 'breach of peace' because you do not agree with it. We all need to make sure these people are educated away from this ignorance and that they are discredited if they choose to ignore the facts and lie about these rights.

I'm still laughing at those that say open carry is illegal, and don't do it.

Funnier when:

They can't cite the laws that state it's illegal
Think that BoP is a reasonable substitute (but don't even know what BoP is when you ask them if they have ever read the statute).
Say that if you do it, you'll get in trouble (like I have experienced here on this forum, yet I open carry in New Britain 100% of the time because of their silly ordinance)
They say they have a CCW, but when you tell them that they do not, they get ticked off. Tell them to look at their permit and they "swear it WAS there"! (that silly "concealed" word).

Those are silly, scary is when:

They tell new permit holders that open carry is illegal.
They tell the media that open carry is illegal.
They come up to someone open carrying in a pool hall and point their finger in your face and tell you what you're doing is illegal (sorry Rich, couldn't resist!).

Mr. Lawlor is being a horse's ass. You'd think that an '...undersecretary for criminal justice policy...' might have an idea of what state law is before he runs his mouth.

OC is LEGAL in Connecticut, despite what he, the governor, Lt. Vance, or anyone else says.
