I was in the tiny town of Gerlach during burningman , the event itself prohibits firearms completely ( but they do not search for them because all the cops would find would be weed and E ) During burningman the town goes from 160 people to a few thousand and all kinds of law enforcement.

I open carried in Gerlach expecting some of the hippies to ask questions but none of the Californian hippies seemed to even notice. One BLM Ranger was giving me dirty looks in the restaurant and one Washoe county Sheriff slowed down to look but no law enforcement officer or reg citizen ever stopped to ask me any questions about open carry, the hippies did ask where the porta potties were-at least they're learning to use toilets now!
