AB 144 has passed the Senate with a 21-18 vote. The bill will now return to the Assembly for concurrence and then be sent to Governor Brown's desk. Contact the Governor and express your disapproval for this attack on your fundamental rights.

I'll be faxing and calling daily until we get this vetoed

A small correction; the Governor has 12 days after the bill has been enrolled to respond. If after that time has elapsed, and he has not taken action to veto the bill, it becomes law effective Jauary 1st, 2012, with or without his signature.

At my reckoning, September 21st is the last day for Gov Brown to veto.

Just talked to the Governor's office and respectfully urged a veto on AB144, AB809, and SB427.

The line was busy the first few times I tried, but after a few redials it became available. Was on hold only for about a minute or so.

What is the likelyhod that he will even veto it even if we flood his office with messages? Doesn't mean we shouldn't try but we should also be realistic.
