Two Maine School Districts Invite Maine CWP Training

SAD 61 & 72 has invited Maine CWP Training to conduct Adult Education / NRA certified firearm classes January through May! The districts serve Brownfield, Denmark, Fryeburg, Lovell, Stoneham, Stow, Sweden, Casco, Bridgton, Naples & Sebago! We will be offering both First Steps and Personal Protection in the Home courses.

Maine CWP Training of Harrison has been invited to conduct NRA Certified First Steps and Personal Protection in the Home courses at Crooked River Adult and Community Education Center in Casco.

The NRA's certified Personal Protection in the Home ($120 includes Lab Fee) course gives participants the, "Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills and Attitude," essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and innocent third persons and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self defense.

Additionally, Maine CWP Training includes "Firearms and the Law": Possession, Ownership and the Use of Deadly and Non-Deadly Force. This segment is also offered separately. Respected attorney John W. Chapman delivers this comprehensive, power packed real life delivery on how the law affects you and your decisions, when employing a firearm for self defense. First Steps is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA's rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.
