Any recommendations for a local attorney?

I'm not in any kind of trouble, but I think it would be a good idea to know a good attorney and keep there number in my phone just in case. I still haven't had any problems while OC'ing and hopefully never will, but in the event of a negative encounter with law enforcement I feel like I should be prepared. It's going to be hard to say, "I'd like to speak to my attorney before answering any questions", if I don't have one. I apologize if there is already a thread somewhere addressing this issue. Does anybody have any recommendations for local attorneys? I live in Edgerton. Are there any other numbers I should have in my phone, such as certain Wisconsin Carry Inc. member's numbers?

The only thing I'd recommend is contact the WCI staff.

From my point of view, WCI has done more in WI than all the other groups combined as they've confronted cities with their illegal arrests and won every single time.

Any attorney personal representative can protect your rights.

Surely you have a relation with one, perhaps to write your will or for a real estate transaction. Ask him for his business card. When it's time then he can recommend a criminal defense firm/attorney.

I don't recall the details but Steve Cain did good for us a year or two ago. He used to be with Houseman and Feind of Grafton but was looking for elected office as I recall.

Now with Stippich, Selin, Cain and Knowlton, LLC of Milwaukee.

I am not sure of his last name, he just joined the firm about a year ago. He knows gun rights though. I laminated their contact info & stuck it in my wallet.

Mastantuono Law is based in Milwaukee, but works throughout the state.
You're well within their service area.

They won the pizza delivery guy cc case,
& did the first part of the Brookfield case. (Not the civil rights part.)
And have handled some other precedent-setting cases.
