Turn Off the Violence Night

For those of you that live in the area and think they might be able to make it. Westland is haveing a Turn Off the Violence Night http://www.cityofwestland.com/turn-off-the-violence.html It would be nice to have a good turn out of OC at this event if we could. I don't know much about it other than what is posted on the web site. Looks like it should be a good time for kids.

What would be REALLY, really, good, would be to have some families show up OCing. In my opinion we will never be truly "accepted" until more women join the movement. Just saying....let the flaming begin.

No flaming. You're right. I love to see women carrying, its thier right, it gets others to protect themselves too, and besides, depending on the girl, its hot.

Make Thursday, October 13th your family night out! We'll have something for everyone - whether you're an animal lover visiting the exotic animals or exploring your adventurous side on the many inflatable bouncers. You can bring your skateboard or skates and take a spin around the Concrete Jungle Skate Park. Join the Fire Department and be a firefighter for a night or just sit back, relax and enjoy one of the live performances. Entertainment will include the Amazing Clark who will astound and delight you with magic and puppets, Cirque Amongus who will delight you with their circus antics and Park It will return with an outdoor movie. Pledge to Turn Off the Violence with the Westland Police Officer and get a prize! Information will be available about personal, home and driving safety as well as ID information.

Thanks to the Wayne Masons, parents will have the opportunity to complete a Child ID kit. This service is provided free and is an invaluable record of information.

The Wild About Youth Force and the Westland Rotary Club invite you to bring your family to the Bailey Recreation Center where they'll become your best friends while creating memories. You'll have a blast! Events are free, food is available at a nominal cost.
