    Proof that cops don't need to be so hardcore about demanding respect

    At least, that is, in regards to traffic police

    It's not so much a newfound technique as a lost art.

    From the article: "About 120 mimes dressed in clown-like outfits and white gloves..."

    After all, traffic policeman of old, before the invention of lights, were dressed in uniforms and white gloves. Perhaps the mimes are simply dusting off an old, but effective standard.

    Except for the the face paint, of course.
