Is he bending to the anti's?

MADISON — Gov. Scott Walker is reviewing proposed rules for implementing Wisconsin’s new concealed carry law that require at least four hours of training before a permit can be given.

The law passed by the Legislature required training, but it did not say how many hours. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen has said four hours of training is the widely accepted minimum of what is required.

The National Rifle Association and other supporters of the law have objected to the four-hour requirement. Republican state Rep. Evan Wynn said today the training should be timed based on mastery, not hours.

Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said today the governor was reviewing the rules and would decide whether to accept them before the law takes effect on Nov. 1.

My guess is they did this on purpose and Walker will sign saying that he didnt have enough time to reject it because we are to close to the nov. 1st date........

Walker says concealed carry bill should require training, permits
Wisconsin's 'constitutional carry' proposal wouldn't include those provisions

By Tom Held of the Journal Sentinel

June 3, 2011

Gov. Scott Walker, who had been silent on the specifics of a bill he would support, issued a statement that formalized his position: "If a concealed carry bill reaches my desk, it should include a permit and training provisions."

It should be the same amount of training time that is required before you assert your 5th amendment rights, the same amount of training time that is required for women to be allowed to vote.
