Fisking the DC Court of appeals on Heller II

    http://www.captainsjournal.com/2011/...t-weapons-ban/

Taking apart the DC Court of Appeals ruling upholding the ban on "assault weapons" and "large capacity magazines".

Thankfully the case is now on appeal to SCOTUS.

Unfortunately there is not much hope that they will do the right thing.

    stay safe.

Agreed Skidmark - This is why we must not be enticed by the "promises" of Heller/McDonald into looking to the federal judiciary to invoke the 2A as it was written and intended .

As challenging as it sometimes seems - in the long run I am convinced that our efforts will be best served by asserting our rights at the state level -even given the sorry likes of IL, CA, NJ, HI, CT, and a few other recalcitrants like TX, OK, & AR.

And let us not forget DC's Feudalistic serfdom neighbor to the north--MD...
It is our cause to dispel the foggy thinking which avoids hard decisions in the delusion that a world of conflict will somehow mysteriously resolve itself into a world of harmony, if we just don't rock the boat or irritate the forces of aggression—and this is hogwash."
