My father met up with Chesty Puller last year he was 86. I have his old double barreled shotgun that has hammers. He told me that he bought it from an old timer when he was a kid. The only markings are on the forearm, barrel latch and stock latch. It is a number 325881 would anyone have an idea who made this?

I went to a gun shop and they couldn't tell me about it.

Dude -

Was you father 86 last year? 'Cause as far as I remember Chesty has been dead for quite a few years now.

What your father meeting up with Chesty Puller has to do with a hammered shotgun is beyond me.

Some pictures would help, as my crystal ball is still in storage.

Oh, yeah! Welcome to OCDO.

stay safe.

If nothing else it will have proof marks probably on the underside of the barrel near the breech.
Look for them and then just do a search for proof and manufacturers marks.

Yes, pictures would be helpful. Post some and I am sure we could harness the power of the almighty Google to help you out. Also, please clarify the Chesty Puller story. Sounds like a cool gun.

By the way, Welcome to OCDO!! Stick around and you will learn a lot.
