I think that this is what will happen, I don't necessarily agree with it though.

Discrimination in Firearms Instruction

And now comes the Yellow Cat:

I have met Muslim Americans who are patriotic and who have told me that had they ever been given the opportunity, they would not hesitate to shoot Osama bin Ladin on sight. I believe them. All Americans have the right to personal defense firearms instruction for the protection of self and loved ones. The founding fathers did not put in a disclaimer for the Second Amendment limiting it to white Protestant males and I do not either. And somebody can be a political idiot (think - voting for the current campaigner in chief) and still make reasonable self defense decisions. (I have heard it said that the most ardent newly formed Second Amendment advocate is a flaming liberal who has been raped or mugged.)

The Yellow Cat will not discriminate based on race, creed, sex, religion, color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or even against FIBS.

The Obama part was funny but the religion part was unnecessary.

In am going to set my opinion aside.

I know there are protections for race or religion in things like housing and employment, but I thought private businesses had the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason?

I must admit I laughed pretty hard the first time I heard his ad. The next day I watched a video from JPFO and began to see similarities between German-Jews of the 30's-40's and American-Muslims of today.

The Yellow Cat hit the nail on the head! Everyone has the right to self preservation... even if we disagree with them.

You can, except for any reason that is prohibited by federal and state public accommodations laws. Religion (creed), national origin and ancestry are among those reasons.

Now people can make an informed decision about where to spend their money.

As I posted in the other thread on this topic, what if I decided that your (generic person reading these words) profession of belief in a diety (any diety, take your pick) is evidence of your inability to make a rational decision & I refused to teach you?

I mean, come on - you're legally an adult & you still think your invisible friend is real?
How much more evidence of mental disease or defect do we need?

When the shoe is on the other foot, it kinda pinches, doesn't it?

That being said, I would have ethical difficulties teaching someone who held beliefs leading her/him to harm other people - violent bigots, racists, anti-gov't types who see nothing wrong with assassination...
Simple self-defense is completely different.

Generally speaking, in privately owned business, "management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone". (Example: "No Shoes, No Shirt, - No Service) However, in Texas, actually doing so because of religion or national origin, and absent any other more legitimate cause, can get your TX CHP Instructor permit revoked by the Texas Department of Public Safety. (Same in UT.)

Having said that, anyone who has taken any of my classes, whether UT CFP, NRA, or one of my specialty classes, knows that I announce at the beginning of the class that any student who shows disrespect to the instructor or any assistant instructor, or any other student, will be booted from the class. Likewise, any student showing mental imbalance will be asked to leave. Any student, who by their actions or words implies that they are taking my training for any aggressive purposes and intend to use the skills I teach them against others preemptively will be booted; whether their intention to be aggressive is based on religion or on personal pathology. In all these cases, should they occur, BCI will be notified by me and that person's name flagged for "special investigation" should they apply through another UT Instructor's course.

I stand by my earlier post - all have the right to personal protection instruction, unless they show by their actions or words that they intend to use that instruction for illegal purposes.
