email sent to Portage Lumber and Do-it center

Heres the body of an email i sent them this morning.

To whom it may concern,
I came to your store Saturday only to see a 'No Firearms allowed' sign on your front door. I had to go back to my car and disarm. Ive been in your store alot the past year, all the time open carrying. Its never been an issue. Im not sure if you realize that by posting the sign, the only people you keep out are the lawabiding citizens who carry legally. Someone with the intent to rob your store wont care about the sign. In fact they may look at it as an invitation, knowning that everyone will be disarmed. Theres also the liability issue, if that were to happen, your store could be sued in the event that someone was injured in that situation. If that sign ISN'T present, you cant be sued in the same situation.
Id like to think that Ill be spending more money at your store, but if that sign remains up, Ill drive a little farther to get what i need.

I also emailed them and let them know i will not spend another penny in that store. It is a right they have to do that but as we know we have rights! Now they have lost 2 customers and of course i will ask my friends in Portage poynette, arlington, leeds etc etc to not support this draconian approach. when they honor criminals more than law abiding citizens, i do not do business with them.

I sent an email. I am a regular customer there. But the I am will change to I was if they do not remove the sign.

I emailed the management...havent heard anything...the sign was still up as of yesterday...

emailed to support the cause .. never been there as i dont live in the area .. but that isnt right
