    Firearm discharge regulations - PWC

Hey ya'll! I might be moving from Fairfax county into Prince William and I was wondering if the firearm discharge regulations are any more reasonably in PWC. I know if Fairfax, I cannot even legally shoot a BB gun on my property, let alone a firearm. What are the restrictions for the same in PWC?

The place in question has just over an acre of land backing to some woods, so while I wouldn't risk shooting an average rifle there even if legal, I'd love to be able to shoot my BB gun, my bow, maybe some skeet from my 12 gauge and maybe a smaller caliber handgun or a 22 plinker.

Actually, now you can shoot a BB gun in PWC. As of July 1st, provided you take care to not let the BB (or pellet, or paintball) cross your property line.

    See Paragraph B.

Check the status of PWC updates to their local ordinances in this thread. (I can't open Google docs at work.)

I'm sure TFred knows, but this new law applies to the entire state of Virginia not just PWC.

Thanks for the responses. So, BB guns are now good to go throughout the state - that's good to know. I assume archery is also legal. But what about firearms discharge on private property in PWC?

Go here and look at these sections:
    Sec 31-21 thru 31-29
    Sec 31-40 & 31-41

(btw, it appears their air gun code hasn't been updated yet. I suspect it will be soon... lol).
