I too am interested in revisiting the effort to get VCDL plates. Frames would be nice but seeing our logo on the DMV web site is a further testament to our influence as a group.

Yep, I agree!!

Grape and the other VCDL BoD members should make pursuing this idea a priority. I'd change my personalized plates to one with the VCDL logo in a heartbeat. And quite frankly, I think it might very well make it through the Commonwealth review process since the present VCDL "militia" logo isn't an in-your-face type pro-gun symbol which is overly offensive to the antis.

Besides, if the BoD needs more urging, this could even aid the VCDL recruiting process because people who want the plate will have to show proof of membership when submitting the request. Plus, the organization gets a small cut from the sale of plates doesn't it?

Putting the package together for submission to DMV is a laborious process. VCDL has at the moment many higher priorities - now if someone were to volunteer to coordinate this quest, please step forward and make yourself known to the BoD. Afterall, that is what "grassroots" is about is it not.
