So as many of you know I don't OC but strongly support those who do. As some of you also know, the proven legality of OC has allowed me to comfortably carry larger firearms that I shoot better without the worry about exposure.

So last night we decided to do some high brow shopping for couches at Bob's Discount Furniture. I was in the family truckster wagon with 2 kids out at night. This represents about the highest risk I'll encounter in my exciting life as a doting suburban dad. Also, just for the hell of it I decided to bring out the big iron. So out came the Nighthawk Custom Lightweight Talon II Bobtail. Its such a nice gun, and I shoot it well, it deserves not to spend its life in a safe.

As I put it into an OWB paddle holster on our way out the door, my wife said "I can see your gun". SO?? I replied.

My point is that 2 years ago I'd have never carried a gun that I intentionally knew I couldn't comfortably and effectively conceal. In fact I bought this gun just because of my new "casual carry" routine.

So thanks again to all of you fighting the fight. My kids are better protected than they'd be if I was carrying a mousegun, and I get to spend frivolously on hand made works of art I can carry on my hip.

That gun is too pretty to hide.

The Les Baer as well.... even though I only see the muzzle.... I know they are HAWT!

Tight tolerances!

I like the Nighthawk, but the grips that have the corner chiseled off near the bottom of the backstrap just do not sit right with my hands at all.

That Baer..... now yer talkin'!

Really nice pistols!

You have a really nice collection of 1911s...one that I'd certainly be proud to own.

This is actually my favorite 1911. A Government sized Baer. Best shooting gun I've ever handled. Not cheap but not terribly expensive either. I shoot it every week.

I've "casual" carried this several times.

Btw. The stainless Baer above is for sale if anyone is curious. Pm me.

Hey, I can produce 1911 porn as well. Of course, my girls are not Class A girls like yours but they shoot just as well.
