Article: "In his first 11 months in office, Hickenlooper has appointed 426 people to varying positions that are not based on geography. But only 18 of those have been from El Paso County, the most populace county in the state. And just 15 have been from Colorado Springs, the second-largest city."

Do you think the title of their thread is deserved? The entire Colorado Springs metropolitan area includes over 600,000 people, while Colorado has more than 5 Million people total. In other words, we have 12.8% of the population of Colorado here in the greater Colorado Springs area. Given that Hickenlooper has appointed 426 people, 12.8% of that comes to 54 people. So, yes - if he's appointed only 15 from the Springs, that's about 3.6 times fewer people than he should have.

I take this as his way of saying "Screw You, Colorado Springs!"

Let's see how long that lasts next election.

Not that I disagree with you, but...

I'd like a little perspective. How many from "the most populace[sic] county" applied for a job with him? How many were qualified for the positions he was looking for? How many did he hire from the ENTIRE WEST HALF OF THE STATE? --How many open carriers?

Nope, now that I think about it, I'm not buying the story at all. Simply because I know the next story will be about how he hired a disproportionate number of hispanics, or a less proportionate number of women. Did he hire any homosexuals? Is our midget population getting a fair shake here. How about the deaf or blind communities?

Really, if this is the best stuff we have to argue about, stuff must be pretty good around here.

At the end of the day, he's a ******* democrap. Better than ritter? Sure. The first 11 people in the Grand Junction phone book are better than that pos. The repubs could have had his job and bennet's if they could get their heads out of their asses and nominate someone like Terry Makitta who could win. Maybe next time.

What an idea! Someone like Makita who understands and appreciates our rights both under our Constitution as well as under our State Law.

He'd make one outstanding candidate for our state's assembly. Quite frankly, I see him as usurping our current governor in record order. The People trust Makita.
