Here's the story: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/05/19/national/main20064366.shtml?tag=re1.channel

(AP) GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Oregon Supreme Court unanimously ruled Thursday that a retired school bus driver can have her medical marijuana and a concealed handgun, too.

"We hold that the Federal Gun Control Act does not pre-empt the state's concealed handgun licensing statute and, therefore, the sheriffs must issue (or renew) the requested licenses," Chief Justice Paul De Muniz wrote in the ruling issued in Salem.

I know that several people are interested in this topic so I posted it here.

But for me, I'm curious to see how that Federal Gun Control Act does not pre-empt... What does this ruling do for the states who have told the feds "making guns here to be sold here does not fall under commerce clause..." arguement?

Or what pro-gun federal laws pre-empt restrictive states.
