An Editorial call for outright gun ban

A New Hampshire newspaper, the Concord Monitor, has published an editorial calling for an outright ban on American citizens owning firearms. Care to respond in the comments section? I did, as 'ad'.

Letter to the editor, not an editorial. The Monitor publishes all letters, so you occasionally see some really nutty ones like this.

The Monitor is the most liberal of New Hampshire's major dailies, but even their editorial board would never call for a total gun ban. Heck, it's New Hampshire: even the liberals are carrying!

If you do, you might suggest that that letter writer get competent psychiatric help to cure him of his delusions and insanities.

I am actually from NH. For the most part everyone there is easy going when it comes to guns, though occasionaly a newspaper will print something negative. Most of the stygma revolving around guns in NH is actually because of the Free Staters. I'm sure one of them will find this (probably Ridley) and say something but as a regular person from NH I can say that most people do not want them there.

This guy needs to do a bit more homework on the many and varied reasons WHY Japanese "crime is so low", not the least of which is massive under reporting of crime (especially murder), the ability of their police agencies to decide what "crimes" they will and wont investigate with no over-site (and if its not investigated, its not reported as a crime) and corruption of their justice system to an extent that would make a DC justice blush.

If he thinks so much of Japan, he should go live there and become a "middle class citizen" of their republic. I have odds he will be crying to come back to the US within a year.
