I am just starting looking into all this, and I have never shot a handgun. I'm looking for a basic handgun safety and operations type course that would introduce me to them and get me started so I can potentially rent on a range and start investigating different handguns. Does anybody know of good ranges and beginners gun courses near Raleigh? Preferably under $50? Thanks!

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software.
