Been to the socialist state of Kalifornia several times for conventions and such.

Look at the comments of the video.... Devildog and a WA reference. Is this possibly our old member Devildoc?

I'm sure this would have been before I was around but in the video he said he was USMC currently stationed in Ca and he used to be in Wa.

"I Phones" are so annoying... That stupid video aspect is rediculous.

It's spelled iPhone :p

And ANY phone cam will record like that. The wife's droid does the same thing. It's a simple solution to just hold the phone on its side. But I seriously doubt the videographer was that concerned with his cinematography under the circumstances, nor should he have been.

Couldn’t help but wonder why he was answering such off the wall question concerning his medical/mental state; PTSD, and why he gave up his staff, or Duty NCO's number?

No as devil dog is a reference to a Marine. Devildoc was a navy medic. Very different.

You mean Navy Corpsman, who are often attached to Marine units, and stationed on Marine Bases, he may even be an IDC.

He was taken back by the questions and answered as a reflex of being honest. This was his first experiance with police. He gave them the base info line...nothing to do with his command (thought that was kinda funny). He is an active duty Marine Corps infantry Sergeant (good friend of mine). Just thought I would clear things up.

I just moved from WA to CA. What a pain.
1) Before moving, I disassembled my 15 round P226 mags and bought some ridiculous Mec Gar 10 rounders.
2) Upon arriving in CA I had to register all of my handguns with the DOJ of CA ($30 each.)
3) I just hung up my holster for the last time, because OPEN CARRY OF HANDGUNS, EVEN UNLOADED, IS NOW ILLEGAL here, starting on January 1.
4) I now leave my WA CC permit to gather dust in a drawer, never to be replaced by a CA CC permit (there are 2 CC permits issued in the ENTIRE SF COUNTY -- one to a judge another to a prosecutor.)

Argh!

Question begs... What brought you there in the first place? She must be very beautiful

My droid phone doesn't film like that no matter how I hold it.

The video got removed... either he got too much flak for giving out information, or some other things came up.

I hope for the best for that open carrier...

*bangs head against desk* :banghead:

This thread isn't making me feel better about be stationed there starting this summer.

I can only hope and pray that the Senate passes HR 822. If not, I'm likely only going to be taking a Cali approved long gun with me for home defense.

(sigh)
