I was getting it too. Like hgreen's reasoning. I have had to clean home machine twice. Now my friends are getting Viagra ads using my personal e-mail. *&^*(^**&(

Skidmark sent me a regimen of programs to clean the damn thing. Shutting down the personal e-mail (a throw-away anyway). Have used ComboFix and Malware Bytes to clean up to now. Symantec AV is not stopping it.

Hmmmmm.... I am on this site every day, from several different computers, and I have yet to encounter any kind of virus on this site. My AV software does not even alert to preventive actions.

In trying to read your post, sir, it occurs to me that your current level of keyboard expertise, spelling ability and grammar may somehow be contributing to the incidence of infection you are experiencing. Just sayin' ...

I had it happen yesterday and it was while on this site. My Norton 2012 Internet protection blocked it and warned me of an intrusion attempt with high memory usage and was through IE.

You might want to consider AVG, even their freeware is vastly superior to Norton IMHO.

Since installing AVG and Malware Bytes I have experienced no problems.

Good that Norton caught it though.

Not sure who is doing the hosting but the ip address is tracing back to valueserver.de They do not get the best of reviews on Google. That is where your virus is coming from. What I can find about them is that it is a web-hosting site and they co-locate servers, probably not keeping their AV up to date. Hard to tell which site you visited to connect to one of their servers but now they know where you live. Like Grape said +P+ for AVG

Looks like Opencarry is using Rackspace. I have never received a warning from my AVG on these pages.

The intrusion attempt isn't coming from the site, itself, but from an advertisement. I get stuff like that where the ad has been blanked out, and my anti-intrusion software tells me it's saved me from an attack. That happens so often, and on so many sites that allow pass-through advertising selected by their own service providers, that I don't even pay attention to them.

I want to sit nearby to see you stick your fork in the back of someone's hand when they reach for something on your plate again like what happened at Cracker Barrel.

Wasn't that 2 or 3 years ago at Cantor's shindig at the place that wouldn't allow firearms... We were posted along the street to wave at Cantor supporters as they drove by.

Sorry about the details being fuzzy. That happens when you get old. The sillyflockers at the VA say its from PTSD, but I told 'em where to shove it, I'm just getting along in years. Sillyflockers will tell you anything to get more of your tax $$$...

The offender will remain nameless to protect the guilty... :-D

Never mess with someone's bacon - especially extra crisp.

The Cantor thing was at Snag-a-Job pavilion.

Couldn't have been me or I'd remember it.:D

You missed the point. The ip address is tracing back to valueserver.de That is where your virus warning is coming from, many virus writers hide the infection or attempt to infect by setting it to open when a new page is opened after visiting the infected site. Since I did not visit the same sites as you except for OCDO I do not get the warning for a virus. OCDO is using a different company to host this site.

No Citizen didn't miss your point - he was just jerkin' your chain. He's good at that. :D

I remember it because I nearly snorted ice water back through my nose... You were seated across from me, The guilty party beside you and one of my daughters (I can't remember which one) was beside me. It was at Cracker Barrel.

Does any of this ring a bell?

Why doesn't he just FESS UP now. HE knows he did it and I KNOW he's read this thread by now... Heheheheh.
