FORT WORTH, Texas -- Police say a woman has shot and killed a man attempting to break into her west Fort Worth home.
After the homeowner heard someone trying to enter her house around 3:30 a.m. Thursday she called her husband who told her to get the gun.
Police did not immediately release the name of the dead man or the shooter.
Local TV stations report that the man may have thought he was entering his own home.
Police are investigating.
