Who needs a gun in an icy lake?

A former police officer (now an armed citizen) assisted in rescuing a family trapped underwater after an accident. He used his gun to shoot out a window in the submerged car and then used his knife to cut a child free. Who knows what you might need your gun for?

I'm glad it worked out for the shooter and the submerged people. Can you imagine if he had shot someone when he did that?

Now if I can just get my boss to see the need for a gun on the medic... Oh wait, we have a fire ax and a window breaker tool. Oh well.

Pretty easy, actually. All you do is push the spring loaded window punch into the corner of the glass and voila the window shatters.
