The WX is beautiful, so let's set a date and time, and do it.

When these have been set and agreed, we need to call Reno PD and set up a traffic break for a minute or two, have everyone ready, then when we get the break run out, shoot the pics, and then get out of traffic.

Those guys down in the Sharp End think that THEY have a sign, but IIRC the Reno sign is older.

While we're at it, how about then running up to get pics at the "Welcome to Nevada" sign on I-80?

Not sure if RPD will do that, even for a couple of minutes. When I worked security for Silver Legacy we got fined for Aaron Lewis' tour bus blocking part of a lane while they unloaded. They don't like blocking the street unless it's for a special event. Besides that, I am down. It would be best to do in the middle of a workday for less traffic, that's if RPD won't help. If you wanna do a weekend thing I am good in the mornings Saturday's and Sunday's just let me know when.

The difference is that we will need it for about two minutes, we will be in a crosswalk, and they routinely block that street for other folks.

If we were looking at half an hour, no way, but such a short time should work out, if we go to them ahead of time.

Let's come up with a firm date and time, get everyone to RSVP so we have an idea of the number of people to expect, then I'll hit the PD with it and see what happens.
