Upon reviewing this list I noticed that Remington oil in Birnamwood is listed as posted. Just before Christmas I talked to the district manager for that store and he removed the sign. I have not been there for a while however I did check and I saw that it was removed.around New Years.

    Docs Harley Davidson

We stopped at the Timeline Cafe (Docs Harley Davidson) in Bonduel yesterday and it is posted. The only door posted is outside entrance to the cafe so you can enter through the museum or other doors if you wish (we chose not to) and went to Amigos in the village which is not posted. I am gonna miss Docs as it was always good food at a good price.

    Addition

Glacier Rock restaurant and bar in Baraboo is posted. I called them a while back and they seemed to be under some mistaken assumptions about the law. They seemed reasonable and were going to talk about it but I've not received any return correspondence and the sign is still up.

Some polite emails and phone calls from the rest of you guys could help.

Good times - Reedsburg. I talked to the owner about his sign not being legal, plus the side door wasn't posted. He then offered me a job... Don't think the sign will be coming down any time soon. Lol.
Randalls uptown bar - Mauston. They have a full sheet of paper sized notice on the wall behind the bar, no doors are posted however.

    stores postings

Do stores have to post to inform ccw carriers that their store is off limits? The reason I ask is because I called the Dollar tree and they said they do not allow firearms in their store but it is not posted anywhere at the store and the same with farm and fleet in onalaska.

First, stop asking. If you don't see a posting, assume it's OK until told otherwise.

Second, since you asked and they told you, you have now been notified and cannot carry there, if they can show evidence they notified you. As for the rest of us, all we have is your word, so....while it's not likely I'll be there anytime soon, I don't know their intentions until they tell me.

Posting is not required - you simply have to have been informed of the restriction by whoever's in charge of the property. A properly posted sign is one form of evidence.

    CCKC bristol ranges

This seems to be old news but I've not seen mention of it here. I've never been there because I have heard that you have to single load your AR's

    Conservation Club of Kenosha County

Per their home page http://bristolranges.com/ ...

"Concealed Carry and open carry firearms are not allowed on CCKC!

At the August 8, 2011 Board of Directors meeting, the board determined that concealed carry or open carry firearms will not be allowed on the ranges.

This decision was made with operational safety being the primary concern. The board determined that the Rifle/Pistol Range could not be safely closed to go downrange for target changes if loaded firearms were still on the line. The board also determined that it did not want concealed permit holders practicing from the draw during normal hours of operation as it can be dangerous for adjacent shooters on the line."
Is this standard practice at these types of ranges? I've only ever been to Shooters indoor range where the range is constantly hot. I've always shot with mulitple guns and one of them is always loaded, holstered on my hip while shooting the other.

A lot of ranges do not allow holster draw, but they say it is for safety and yet they allow people to shoot there? They say they support the 2A but you can't carry?

Hey protias, the Good Times - Reedsburg, that is the name of the bar, "Good Times". Also, a friend called me tonight asking about gun prices, and said he was at the Ace hardware in Tomah, they sell guns now I guess. I asked if the were posted, he said he didn't see anything, but didn't really look.

As for Ace Hardware, someone is going to have to help me with those. I've been working a lot more lately and haven't had time to fix them.

The Transfer - Small restaurant near Bay View in Milwaukee (on 1st & Mitchell). They have some great pizza; alas, they've posted. Quite predominantly, I might add.

Having some time to kill today between the Pancake House breakfast and the Walker rally, a few of us met at Leff's Lucky Town in Wauwatosa because someone had said they were not posted. After being in there 15+ minutes drinking soda, the manager came up to us and told us we couldn't have our firearms in there. They have a "No firearms" sign up on the wall behind the bar. I would have never seen it had it not been pointed out.

    Slight mistake.

I see in your list you have the Walworth county fair listed under Walworth but it is held in Elkhorn Wi.

    Unhappy Mechanix in Racine

I am very sorry to have to post this, and it comes as quite a shock, but McX has decided that his shop is no longer carry-friendly, for any kind of carry, any kind of firearm.

He says we're all still welcome as customers, but if he sees a gun on someone he'll take it away from them.
Also, he will no longer be on OCDO or Facebook or attend any 2A events.

Mechanix, Ltd.; 1626 Douglas Ave.; Racine, WI; 53404-2722

He says that his business & marriage have been devastated (my word, his sentiment) by his devotion to the cause of 2A rights & he is reprioritizing (ditto), and urges the rest of us to do the same.
Actually, he put it quite a bit more forcefully, bluntly, & with more 'colorful' language.

Too bad. Sounds like it isn't to do with guns, it's to do with someone that's unstable.

    Anyway...

Took a walk on Monroe St in Madistan today, the following are posted:

    Lakeview Veterinary Clinic

Marie's Chocolates (posted twice, once above the door, once beside the door for extra protection )

    Madison Public Library

So he's gone from a 2A advocate to willing to commit theft rather than ask somebody to simply leave after informing them of the policy?
