This has real promise. A nationwide pro-2A show at Starbucks on 2/14? It will make the news, maybe national news. We need to represent ourselves well.

Observations:
Starbucks did not and still does not wish to be the center of controversy. That they chose to stand their ground (literally and figuratively) and follow the state law wherein OC and/or CC was legal is very much to their credit. Personally, I would leave the borrowed themed (Love Coffee & Guns) T-shirts at home, conduct myself as just an everyday customer(s), and cement the relationship that we are the good guys and don't desire to embarrass Starbucks - let the antis do that and look like the spoiled child that can't have its way.
Show your support, especially on the days of the planned protest, but do so with dignity and aplomb whether alone or with a group - that way Starbucks will confirm the wisdom of their original and on-going stance.
We each must choose where and indeed how we fight our battles. That the antis select to be in-your face aggressive and emotionally bent should not in any way dictate our response. We are responsible, law abiding, cordial and friendly people that also take self-defense for what it is.......an intelligent, personal choice.
Starbucks [strike]burns[/strike] over-roasts their beans, but I will OC at the Okemos location on 2/14 to support the cause and make a political statement against the anti-freedom crowd.
And if you can't make an event, then just go to your local starbucks and buy some products and bring a friend. Let's show Starbucks that sales were up on that day. Q I love coffee and can meet you in the Lansing area. I think East Point Mall on Lake Lansing Rd has a store.
Yes Eastwood. I can make the Okemos location. I can meet at noonish or after work. You mean Eastwood Towne Center? I believe they do... I think some of us may be hitting the Okemos location instead... any reason you can't make that one Venator?
There's a panchero's near both, so I don't care!!!
Not criticizing the thought, but what was his stance when he could perhaps have made a difference... when he was a NEW JERSEY Superior Court Judge. You know, the state that champions the rights of gun owners any chance they can, see:Judge Napolitano says businesses can't prohibit firearm carry on their property because they are public accommodations and firearm carry is a fundamental liberty.
Also let the manager know why you are there spending money as well.I was thinking about doing something at my local starbucks but I think I might join insanebuddy at the one hes going to be at in Kalamazoo, I took the day off from work anyways so I might as well. Anyone thought of having signs? If you have MOC gear this would be the time to wear it, let them know who is supporting them.

I don't have any MOC shirts, but I do have some OCDO polo shirts. Will wear one.If you have MOC gear this would be the time to wear it, let them know who is supporting them.
Good idea Venator Maybe I'll have a shirt made that says I support starbucks because starbucks supports me and have a picture of the 2nd amendment on it. Maybe I can get permission to use the MOC logo on it as well...
hint hint...
I dont generally go for the fancy coffee starbucks offers, but I dont have a problem drinking it and spending my money there because they chose to not get involved in the pro gun v anti gun debate. They took a neutral ground (no pun intended) on firearms possession and said look if the states allow it were not going to tell them no. I havent had a single problem in starbucks yet!
