Howdy!
I gotta agree with other folks here.... there ain't no such critter as clips for a 1911. Nor any semiautomatic pistol either.
They are called magazines. Not clips. The M1 Garand used clips. And the M1 was(is) not an automatic pistol.
J.H.C.! Finger in the trigger guard? Really? That's more than a pet peeve... it is a violation of the basic 4 rules of firearms safety.
Before getting a permit, folks need to know, understand, and respect those top 4 rules of firearms safety.
1. The firearm is ALWAYS loaded.
2. Never point your firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy!
3. Keep your finger out of the trigger guard until you are 'on target'.
4. Be certain of your target, along with what is behind, and around, your target.
I'd add that one should treat the firearm from the prospective of a professional attitude.
Professional may not be the correct word, but with no more slumber than I've enjoyed... it'll do for now.
Know your weapon. Know the nomenclature of your weapon. Know proper handling of your weapon.
There are videos on the internet showing people who clearly have no clue how to respect their weapon.
In some, you even see people hurt themselves because they fail to respect their weapon.
I'd prefer not to see your next video explaining how you accidently put a hole in yourself.
And yeah... those exist too.
This ain't intended unkindly. It is intended to be an exhortation to get firearms training, get it right,
so something doesn't go badly wrong.
Blessings,
