As WBBM Newsradio’s Regine Schlesinger reports, over the past two years, the city has seen a 16 percent spike in the number of people holding state Firearm Owner’s Identification Cards.[ ... ] About 122,000 people possessed FOID cards at the beginning of this year compared to 105,000 at the beginning of 2010, said Monique Bond, spokeswoman for the Illinois State Police.

If you let your card expire, the state can take your guns away. How are these cards considered constitutional? At all? Sounds like a good idea for a court case.

But, but, but, the Brady Campaign has been saying all year that FEWER people in the USA own guns, and fewer are buying guns.

So either the Brady's are lying or the state of IL is making this data up. :banghead:
