Yes NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY ISLAND. Home of the EA6B Prowlers as stated above and home to 6 P3C ORION Squadrons. I work for the Wing Staff that is in charge of and supports the P3 Squadrons. Oh yeah they have a SEARCH AND RESCUE DETACHMENT too.

When I worked at NAS WHIDBEY through Summer of 1994 they had the famous E8 Squadrons along with an Anti Submarine Squadron. Twin engine prop planes at least as large as the Puff The Magic Dragon CAS Aircraft.

When I was in my Permanent Duty Station was a SAC Base in the Bible Belt. We had a dozen nukes in silos within 50 miles of Wichita Kansas all pointed at the USSR. There was a squadron of F-105s for the Kansas Air National Guard. We even had an old reliable B-52 on the flight line.

My job as an Aeromedical Specialist was to help keep Missile and Air Crews ready for world wide status.
Hells' bells my own Shot Record showed immunizations for Beri Beri and God only knows what else.

Looking back on it I'm proud to have served.

LOL.....yet it doesn't stop them from taking all the credit..now does it.

So the accusation that NCIS doesn't solve as much crimes leads me to believe that Navy folks aren't as willing to rat out other Navy folks not that they are inferior investigators.
