I would strongly recommend joining& supporting the KSRA, if for no other reason than they are doing the work in Topeka that no one else is.
The NRA is mostly MIA for state level issues, leaving it up to the state affiliates to bridge the gap.
That being said, this is also a very good way to make our points of view know on open carry, and this is our chance to have an advocate to lobby for those interests in Topeka.
price wise& membership is quite reasonable, Value wise, the dues are awesome. partly because that the KSRA only has 1 paid employee, the secretary processing the membership info.
Membership Levels:
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS
ANNUAL 1 YEAR INDIVIDUAL $20.00
ANNUAL 3 YEAR INDIVIDUAL $50.00

.
The lobbyists, like Patricia Stoneking are volunteers, they have several others that work on second amendment issues on the county& city levels.
If you are of the mind to join, you could use a similar approach to what I did, I used part of my tax return to pay for a life membership for several 2a groups, like the Second amendment foundation SAF.ORG and the Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership. JPF
rg, and the KSRA I try to support those groups who are not just engaged in preserving our right, but those who are doing so vigorously. And I urge others to do so as well.
