+1 for a police report or news story. I will hold back further comments until the account is confirmed.

Police report on its way soon the gun i was carrying was not mine it was my gf dads with his permission of course and the weapon was released to him where it was returned to me. We were not in his jurisdiction but he came anyway. He is Cincinnati narcotics officer so he was only 20 mins away. The only real flack is the taser was one of his duty issue . That's why things are kinda complicated

Jacob/iceman - any information available from the police report should be safe to release - it is after all public information and available through a FOIA request. Redact the personal info and post it here or give time, date and location so that someone else can do it. Recommend that you make no additional statements regarding this on a public forum - such have a way of turning and biting.

It is not a question of your veracity. We have had numerous such unsubstantiated stories before - no sense in spinning our wheels.

I think Grape meant to say that he recommends that you do NOT post anymore about this on a public forum. Sound advice.

The reason, if it's not obvious is that this may not be over for you. Civil suits can be filed at any time. Good luck and hope it turns out OK.

A google check reveals no mention of any shootings in Hamilton Ohio, in Burger King or anywhere else...

When you read the original post to anyone, as I did to my SO it's hard to keep from laughing at the sheer improbability of it. From the double femur shot to the sudden tasering by the girlfriend, to his gun not being confiscated as evidence in a shooting . It's just too far-fetched to be true as depicted.

Exactly. OP joins, posts 'I'm a new OC-er', then gets in a shoot the following day and us released at the scene, no charges, etc. The following day he's posting about his daily OC activities...highly unlikely.

Hamilton Burger King's ph# is available on their web page, wonder if management at the store would care to confirm J Iceman's story ?

It's stories like his that give all legit OC'ers a bad name, at least to the uninformed public.

A copy of the police report shouldn't be hard to come by. OP, if you PM me your info, I will submit the FOIA request so we can substantiate your claim.

What are you guys talking about? Every gun carrier trains extensively for the legendary "double-femur shot takedown".

And most of us have ninja GFs too.

No, no, no, I train to shoot the knife out of the guy's hand while simultaneously subduing him with a roundhouse kick to the face.

OP seems to have quietly disappeared into the mist from whence he came.

I sometimes wonder if people don't have a need to de-stress if they're slighted and perhaps wronged and they come to various forums and post their Walter Mitty fantasies. It's OK, as it give us a chance to exercise our Occam's Razors and such.

The story, while amusing didn't really pass the giggle test (when I told my friend I couldn't do it without stopping to laugh). We were pretty fair to the guy.

As near as I can recall, here are the highlights of Jiceman's OP.

    1. JIceman and his girlfriend are in the Hamilton OH burger king. JIceman is OC-ing an unnamed .45 acp pistol.
    2. A woman asks if OC is legal in Ohio and JIceman writes down the web address for Opencarry.org. He gives to woman and she leaves.
    3. JIceman proceeds with his girlfriend over to the soda fountain to fill his drink. Two men come up behind him and one attempts to tug JIceman's gun from it's holster. The man loudly accuses JIceman of giving his phone # to the woman who just left.
    4. JIceman spins and uses a 'Savate Martial Arts move' to knock the man away from him.
    5. The 1st man pulls a knife. JIceman draws his .45 and shoots the man twice, once in each thigh, breaking both of the man's femurs.
    6. The 2nd man tries to attack but JIceman's girlfriend shoots him with a 'police issue taser' and drops the man to the floor.
    7. Police arrive and after determining it was a justifiable shoot, give JIceman the gun back and let him leave the restaurant and go on his way.
    8. JIceman adds that the gun belongs to his GF's father, a Cincinnati narcotics detective, as does the taser. They both had permission from the father to carry the weapons.
