Perhaps you have not been paying attention. The patriot act, which by the way you supported, recent supreme court rulings such as that idiotic decision this week on the 5th amendment. The constant attack on our second amendment. The 4th amendment is all but gone. The 10th is gone and all the rest are under attack.

The Bill of Rights, which is a roll call of just some of our natural, or God given rights, is being systematically destroyed piece by piece.

I will be spending my 4th of July thinking about all we have lost and how our country is being systematically destroyed by creeping socialism. Eisenhower and Regan both tried to warn us. Ron Paul spent his entire political life trying to warn us, and they have again and again been proven right. I will be thinking of how the country I was promised as a little boy is no longer available to my children.

Your words ring hollow to me congressman, as you are a part of the problem.

I wish had the time to join you in your writing campaigns, but I'm home after another 15-hour day. I'll get more active again when the weather cools off and things stop breaking left and right.

Got a letter (form of course) from Senator Heller today. In it he talks of how he thinks that e-verify is such a great idea.

If you don't know what that is, you should. Search it and study it. It may be one of the most insidious things ever proposed. For you biblical types think mark of the beast. For the rest just think of continued erosion of your freedom. It is hidden in the new immigration bill which is another piece of legislative crap unto itself.

The immigration bill is toast. Support is slowly dying in the Senate, the Tea Party is hammering the crap out of representatives daily at their D.C. offices and they are even afraid to go to their local offices or hold town hall meeting because of what the Tea party did in 2010. The House will not pass an immigration bill. They are going to hang this around the Dems neck in 2014 along with ObamaCare as people are finding out their premiums are going up.

The Tea Party is NOT a "right wing" (of which I am) oriented group. It is conglomerate of "less government" people like conservatives, independents, libertarians and fiscally conservative democrats(think former Senator Sam Nunn/former rep Scoop Jackson). The media think they went away. They didn't. They and gun owners killed the background check.

On our side the immigration bill is backed(money to RINOs) by the NAABP, National Association of Business People (not a real group) actually called the Chamber of Commerce which is very large lobby group. They are giving money to RINOs to vote for this crap.

Think about it. You get rid of your US citizen worker you are paying with wage and Obamacare and hire a "Temporary Legal Resident" formerly known as an "illegal alien" for lower wages who is not covered by ObamaCare. So the country club Republican elites in D.C. are voting for the bill not Tea party Republicans.

On a side note, the baseball movie "Moneyball" was loosely based on Nate Silver, a genius mathematician who developed statistics to show that OBP, hitting with men in scoring position and other stats were a better predictor of a players potential to be a good prospect for a team than raw batting average. With his knowledge (2) teams (of which I have forgotten) won world series and they were in the bottom 1/3 of team salaries.

OK, Nate accurately predicted the presidential winner in 2008 and 2012 within (2) electoral votes. After the 2012 election where Romney got 22% of the Hispanic vote, he ran the numbers at 30%-70% Hispanic vote for Romney. Guess what. Romney would still of lost the race. At 70%, he still lost by (2) electoral votes.

What"s that mean. The Hispanic vote didn't lose him the election, the 3,000,000 white Christian conservative votes who stayed home did. If he could have gotten 473,000 of them to vote for him, Obama would now be in Hawaii/Kenya and half his Cabinet and deputy secretaries would probably been under indictment. Also it didn't help that Romney was too "nice" and didn't go for the throat for fear of being called racist by the liberal media.

I don't know about all of you OCDOers but I am going to support less government folks with money and time running in 2014, refuse to vote for any incumbent who voted for any gun bills or immigration bills and talk to every less government white, black, Indian, Asian whatever group I can talk to about taking back America.

We can keep the House and have a decent chance of taking the Senate with 51 Republicans if "we" get engaged and fight the good fight for our kids and grand kids.

You miss the point. It's not whether the bill in it's current form is "toast" or not. What matters is that both of our Senators and at least 2 of our U.S. Representatives think e-verify is a grand idea. There WILL be some kind of immigration bill in the future, I think that's a certainty. It doesn't matter if e-verify is part of this bill or not, sooner or later they will get e-verify through. Perhaps an extension of the unpatriotic act or another NDAA. You will not buy. You will not sell. You will not travel. You will not hold a job. You will not receive medical treatment. You will receive no government services without it.

What you will do is hand over your national ID when asked for your "papers please" Count on it.
