Is there anyone out there that is willing to give it all up when they come to [regester] or to [take] your guns. Are you willing to say the words. You can have them but, you must take them from my cold dead hands or die trying to get them. Before you give your answer.? I am 61 years and its easy for me the say this. So" think about yourself and your family before giving your answer.

History will prove true here in the States; 79,999,999 of the 80,000,000 firearm owners, will hand them over, to save their lives, and the lives of their family's.

At least that is what you are hoping for~~I have no doubt you will give up yours.

If they can guarantee that my family and me would never be presented with havening to defend our life or limb, yes, I would give up my firearms.--unfortunately, they can never guarantee it.

Obama already guarantees you the above, have you not been listening to him?

Ohhh helll everybody knew Obama would win, I am surprised that it was that close. Santa Claus always wins!

You must not have been hanging around here this past year-or-so. There were plenty of people here who were under the impression that Obama would lose against any person the Republicans put up. And I reminded people that Republicans are making a mistake being too sure of their political position--and I was right. Republicans sunk their own ship, enjoy the swim.

Of course, now, you have Republicans saying Romney lost, Obama didn't win. I won't put much stock in the Republicans owning up to their failures.

You are so easy, they were yanking your chain...

Register, no.

If your state does not already register them, then your state is simply behind the times.

Take, yes.

Only New Orleans has ever taken people's guns, and it appears that everyone there gave them up peacefully, and sadly so.

If they can take away the guns from the bad guys first then I may consider giving up my guns. Otherwise they can have my gun when they pry it from my cold dead hands. So if they want to make martyrs out of me and my family, it is our belief that our weapons are a God given right.
He said to them,
“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. (Luke 22:36 NIV)

Also he said,
Everyone will hate you because of me.
But not a hair of your head will perish.
Stand firm, and you will win life.
(Luke 21:17-19 NIV)

"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Benjamin Franklin

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.",
"No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms [within his own lands].",
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." Thomas Jefferson

You should spend some time in Texas. That would alter your math a bunch.

Texas wouldn't hold out any more than the rest of the states. If Texans really loved their guns, then why are their laws so strict (as compared to states like Kentucky). Even with our push to weaken restrictions most of the population would be all too happy (but complain ever step of the way) to turn in their firearms or comply with any government restriction.

We are to the point that everyone thinks that the government is doing wrong, but that we should follow along.

Hopefully, we would all band together and fight for our right. We can't just sit around and individually wait until they knock on our doors. They have a couple billion rounds of hollow points. Some may want to think about "Prepping". After this election, who know's what's down the road? People in New York can see how much they're being helped after the storm. Half of America doesn't care about you, they just want what you can give them. I'm looking out for me and mine. We're supposed to all come around to their way of thinking. Screw that! What are you guys giving? What are you gonna sacrifice, what are you bringing to the table? How about instead of taking, you guys get together and find a way to make my house payments. (Without taking from others.) You collectively gather up some funds and pitch in. You don't want some of them to be productive. You want them needy. They're easier to keep under your thumb. You need victims. Put a broom in their hands. Give them a paint brush. Send them my way, I have things that need done around here that I don't have the time or money to take care of. I'll tell them that you will gladly pay them. Who's paying me? I make my house payments, I buy my food and buy others food. You want socialism, where's my check? Should I call the bank now and tell them that from now on, Barry will be picking up the tab? Hey lady, I want your free phone. You've had it long enough, it's my turn to have it. We all have to do our parts now. The left has always figured out how to spend our money. Since they want to have a group hug now, maybe WE can figure out how to spend it. First, my house payment, then my car is need of repairs. Oh, and my daughter's car needs work so she can get to work and do her part. I would like some new guns, and lots and lots of bullets. Seeing how I've never taken my family on a cruise, maybe I can now. Man, now I'm excited. I guess all of this pitching in and everybody doing their part is going to work out.................Screw that, I'll do it myself. I don't want anybody to do it for me. I know I'm ranting. But I' sick of the brainwashing a lot have succumbed to. How else do you explain somebody being re-elected who has taken over a sixth of our economy on health care, who doubled gas prices, who can't mention D-Day when it rolls around. who can't protect our people overseas? So many things he has done and not done would have gotten him rode out of town on a rail. Not this guy. It's like, "Yeah, we're screwing you. What you gonna do about it?" They don't even try to hide it anymore. A General stepping down? A drone shot at a month ago? And hey, maybe we can start the trial for the Fort Hood shooter, now that the election is over. Yeah, half of us aren't brainwashed? Give me a break!

It is simple. The "New" constitution that was written upon Texas' "Re-admission to the Union" was written by Carpetbagger Yankees. For some inane reason they haven't quite removed all the BS yet.

From what I have read of history and Texas gun laws, that it was legal to open carry while going to and from, which is all the time. Not sure how that turned into no open carry.
