And look at all the great music we have from drug users. Who often make real crappy music after they clean up.....lol.

Nah! Their music is still OK, it's just THEY sound like crap. Most of them had to "get clean" or "get dead" from their drug/alcohol use. The abuse took it's toll and in some cases lead to their early demise. The ones that survive look like Willy Nelson, Keith Richards, or Kris Kristoferson do today by the time their 40.

You're going to get a lot of flak in this forum making statements like that. Not only is this a gun rights forum, most people here believe in freedom in general. If we demand freedom on one field then we need to respect freedom on all.

I used to be like you, I use to think marijuana was some form of evil, why? because it's illegal! Of course it's bad! our legislators said so! Now that I'm all about gun rights I've learned to respect freedom in all areas.

Give it time, you'll come around if you stay on these forums long enough. OCDO has changed me.

For the record I have NEVER touched marijuana. I simply believe in freedom.

same on all counts. Never smoked it, hate the smell of it, but I fully support the right to smoke it for anyone that wants to. It was outlawed for political reasons, and still is. I'm a strong believer that the gov't should protect people from each other, but NOT protect them from themselves.

I don't know Bill Clinton. I know of him though.....;).....but lets not forget George Bush was an alleged illegal drug user too.

I'd be willing to bet that at least four presidents in the last 50 years smoked pot, and three of them are the last three presidents. I would be less than surprised if Kennedy turned out to be one as well.

From what I read Kennedy had a huge drug addiction along with a huge hooker addiction.

Yet all these folks were presidents, oh wait they all were also rich and connected. :D

I'd be more interested in which US Presidents carried firearms while in office. So far I have been only able to find a reference that FDR carried one.

As for the "Secret Service" preventing the President from doing so, they work for "Him". Even Obama told them to "stuff it" when they tried to take his Blackberry away.

[SNIP] I have no problem with those that smoke or use alcohol in moderation. Now you might say "But what about pot use in moderation what about that huh, huh, huh...got yah" No, no you haven't. It may be cliche to say, but I have personally found it to be true - pot is a gateway drug. I have personally known at least half a dozen people throughout my life that have started with pot and gone onto other things in search of that ever increase high. Smoking cigarettes does not lead to any other "harder" forms of tobacco or is even linked to people picking up alcohol.

if i may say a few things i know alot of ppl who started smoking cigs then moved on to marijuana, doesnt that make cigs a gateway drug?
as for MJ being a gateway drug by itself it true BUT it is because it is illegal, you have to deal with street dealers to get MJ (unless you have a medical card). now say your dealer doesnt have and MJ so he says "hey bro i dont got any weed but i got something else that will get you high." thats how MJ is a gateway drug cause you have to deal with stupid street thugs.
i dont know many ppl who would willingly give up MJ to go do some harder more addictive chemical filled drugs. plus most ppl who smoke MJ are just smoking enough to relax not to get ****** up like many ppl do with alcohol, i understand that some drink in moderation but as many, more probably much more abuse alcohol than abuse MJ

Not quite. My buds always got their buds from another bud who had a bud who grew bud. If ever there was a "street thug" involved it was somewhere way down the supply chain, if at all.

Alcohol is the REAL gateway drug. :p

I think it was Richard Pryor that called Milk the ultimate "gateway drug". He said "do you know any drug user that didn't drink milk"?

lol nice.

Calling things a "gateway" drug is just making up more excuses. OMG A KNEW A CRACKHEAD WHO DID WEED SO OBVIOUSLY ALL WEED USERS COULD POSSIBLY DO CRACK < awesome logic. the milk analogy was amazing.

Probably yes on all points.

I can remember all the money I wasted when I was young on "$hitbox" cars. From there on it was no more pre-owned crap. I wanted to trash it myself, to my own specifications.

As for HiPoint pistols, ever see the Youtube video where two guys tried to destroy one. Finally had to actually thread a bolt into the muzzle and fire it before it failed. They may be ugly and cheap but most have to admit that "they go bang every time" and don't cost much.

They kind of fit in the category of the joke "Do you know what a Moped and an Ugly Woman have in common? --- Both can be a lot of fun but you wouldn't want your friends to catch you on either one".

Y'know, the vehicles I was most attached to and still miss were the shitboxes. The only car I ever bought new I dumped long before it was paid for and never think about it, but really miss the ol' Ranger it replaced. Now I just keep everything till it's paid off then never have to worry about missing anything. :)

Yes I'm familiar with that hipoint vid and there are quite a few others. I've tried pointing them out to fools who claim HPs are cheap crap that will blow up in your hand, but you know that line about fixing stupid...

I've been carrying my hp 9mm more and more lately. The Tanfoglio is just such a big heavy brick (which is funny over a hipoint), it needs a custom holster to really be comfortable while the lil c9 just disappears with an equally cheap fobus paddle. Still trying to decide which to bring to my lil Seattle excursion this Saturday.

Delivering Pizza in this area at 10PM should require a Police escort. As for the "Pizza Guy" arming himself? Why not just get a job delivering pizza in a better part of town. Bigger tips elsewhere too.

True. I delivered in Redmond for about six years. Great tips, no robberies. Although, if I did it now I would be carrying...
