The Old fart actually said this:
“I believe in Scripture,” the 78-year-old lawmaker said in a statement. “Ecclesiastes says there is a time and place for everything.”

Yeah, well he also believes in gun control. Good Bye.

Breaking: Bill Janis has announced:
Fmr. Del. Bill Janis. R-Glen Allen, declares for 12th District Va. Senate seat of retiring Sen. Walter Stosch. #vagov

Here is the new article from Nolan:

Former delegate Janis announces run for Stosch's Senate seat
Janis, 52, a lawyer by training who served in the House from 2002 - 2011, said he is running to counter Gov.Terry McAuliffe's attempt to "fundamentally transform Virginia" with Medicaid expansion and gun restrictions the way President Barack Obama has attempted to change America.

"The next senator from the 12th District must be ready to say 'no' to Obamacare expansion in Virginia, 'no' to further encroachments on our fundamental rights, 'no' to the inexorable growth of government," Janis said in a statement relased to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Great news about Janis. I've missed him these last few years. If he had been elected to Henrico Commonwealth Attorney, Scouser's problem wouldn't have made it past day 1.
