Nice.

Probably wouldn't hurt to mention that the Navy threatened to blast Boston if the colonials didn't simmer down and knock it off. Yeah, nice thought. Start shooting naval guns into the city, indiscriminately destroying property the navy supposedly existed to protect.

I was there !

Not.

Want to post a fake story? Go to another place dude.

Actually the news story is quite real, a little out of date, but real nonetheless, however it did not happen in Missouri so the Mod should move it to the appropriate state forum.

there some other minor details wrong, for instance the "national guard" was one doing the resisting. the colonial militia functioned much like the present day national guard with the redcoats being the general active duty army..

Samuel Adams, Paul Revere, and John Hancock, who have been identified as “ringleaders” of the extremist faction, remain at large.

In other news, local law enforcement confirmed this morning that late last night officers pulled over Revere in a routine traffic stop, Officers became suspicious when Revere started shouting conspiracy theories and threatening officers on the scene, despite the threats officers released revere without charges, Governor Gage expects to launch in investigation into why Revere was not taken into custody

Unnamed, but entirely reliable, sources said law enforcement also suspected Revere of possession with intent to distribute, but their drug dog was tied up sniffing at doors under the cover of darkness in the villages near Boston. The customs agents holding the current Writ of Assistance were busy tossing a tavern on the waterfront, and thus unavailable to rifle Revere's saddlebags. They were too drunk this morning to comment for this article.

In other news, constables are investigating strange lights seen in the tower of the Old North Church last night. Authorities suspect a violation of the recent decree against unnecessary lights enacted to conserve whale oil. "We'll find this waster of whale oil, make no mistake," said a constable who spoke on condition of anonymity.

On the public service front, the woman's auxilliary needs cotton wool for bandages for the many brave young soldiers wounded by the violent radicals this morning and afternoon. And, for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the 5th Regiment's colors, last seen at Lexington Green, their colonel is offering a small reward and no questions asked.
