I'm suprised to see little reaction in this board since his announcement. I personaly don't mind the though even though I have issues with some of the things he's done. From what I understand Perry is a Class 3 FFL and owns NFA Weapons. I think he'd be the best advocate for gun rights we could hope for.

I too would vote for Perry. The Texas economy has done pretty well under him when other states were going broke. We also have the highest employment rate in the country. He's pro 2A, a Christian, knows how to "stimulate" an economy and he's not afraid to say what's on his mind. The man's got guts and that's what we need.

Please just give Romney a big fat NO! Mass has gone broke because of his policies. He's just as socialist as Obama.

I would prefer a chance to call Ron Paul my president.
A man who is a Constitutional Conservitive will always have my respect.

I would not vote for Perry, in either the primary or general elections.

He's pretty good on guns. Not great by a long shot, but pretty good. And... well, that's pretty much his list of good qualities.

This "pro-family" governor had no qualms at all about using an executive order to mandate that every middle school girl in Texas receive a controversial vaccine against sexually-spread genital warts. I'm sure the campaign contribution from Merck had nothing to do with it, right?

This "pro-life" governor not only has no problem killing innocent people, he has engaged in cover-ups over it.

The governor of Texas is a weak office, and doesn't translate well to the presidency -- as we've already seen.

Thats right, but people dont seem to remember. People seem to think the Texas economy is a result of Perry. " Let the oil price fall on its ass and see what happens to the Texas economy". Perry has nothing to do with the Texas economy.
I decided I cant stand the man when I had to listen to him wanting to inject 6 grade girls with the HPV drug back in 2007.
His land grab wasnt much of a support gainer for me either. In 2005 and 2007 Perry said he would sign an eminent domain bill to protect homeowners, IT NEVER HAPPENED and property owners still are at the mercy of government taking away their properties without providing REAL monetary reimbursement for their lost property. Perry attempted to take 600,000 acres from Texans for a toll road.
The only thing good about Perry as Governor is " He Aint Bill White".
President, No Way!!
I wish Jan Brewer would step up to the plate.

If it is between Perry and Obama , Perry will get my vote.

I would much rather be voting for the other R.P. though.

I agree between Obama and Perry I'd vote for Perry 100%. I really like his 2A stance. I do not at all like his stance on illegal aliens or border security. I am afraid he is another RINO like McCain. I would prefer a non-RINO, if there is one, like Bachmann. Bob.

Romney is just another RINO. I hope he does not get nominated. I'd still vote for him if he was nominated rather than voting for Obummer. Any Republican but not Obummer again! He has done enough damage to the U.S. Bob.

Before the 2008 general election, I declared that I would never again vote against a candidate, but only for the candidate I want to win. If my candidate isn't on that ballot, I don't cast a vote in that race.

I really got no opinion to give on the support subject. Yes, I like Ron Paul due to his Conservitive values.
The problem I have with all politicians is double talk and not addressing the issues. Give me specific answers,I dont want a bunch of lip fluttering garbage!

Voting for a candidate for governmental representation is an official declaration that you deem the person you're voting for accurately and effectively to represent you. In other words, when you vote for a candidate, you are unambiguously stating, "This person stands in my stead." Regard you yourself so little that you'll vote for someone who does not represent you?

The two predominant political parties in this country are thrilled that you've fallen into the "lesser of two evils" trap. It has allowed them to field candidates that serve the party and themselves first, and often exclusively. They don't have to field candidates who truly represent anyone. They just have to make their candidate look a little less bad than the candidate of the other party to a plurality. When you vote for Rick Perry instead of Barack Obama, you are serving the parties, and they are glad of it. If neither truly represents you, vote for neither. Either write in the name of someone who truly represents you, or don't vote in that election. Have respect for yourself and your views. Don't be a minion.
