So I guess a game of cops and robbers is a no-no along with cowboys and Indians... The good old days are truly over...
SADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

The "good old days" are today for our children and grandchildren. We owe it to them to show them that there is a better way where independence and freedom are normal - where students are taught to think and chose for themselves and enjoy the fruits of their own labor, to not accept being forced into the mold of conformity for its own sake. A healthy imagination is a good thing.....and it is fun. Most of the great advances were initiated by thinking outside of the box.
No mind control, no simple do-it-my-way-or-else people control. They need to learn to accept or reject others by their actions, not by the color of their skin nor by their accent, and most assuredly not by their tools.
Turn off the TV and the X-box, take a kid to the range. Teach them personal responsibility and be prepared to step in and defend them when they are right. Do
not abrogate that duty. Let them know that the possibilities for happiness and success (not necessarily the same thing) are endless and only limited by their thinking/imagination.
Hope this dad at least bought his child a special treat along with the assurance that he did nothing wrong.
I wear my heart on my sleeve and I have zero tolerance for zero tolerance.
Did I say, "Take a kid to the range + buy a treat after?" Make today the best day of the rest of their life - they will learn and thank you for it.
